Bonding and State of Matter
Group 13Bonding
All of the elements in Group 13 have 3 valence electrons and therefore will most likely give away or share electrons with elements on the right side of the periodic table [which is comprised of mostly nonmetals]. Examples: Boron Sulfide-B2S3 Aluminum Oxide-Al2O3 State of Matter All of the elements in Group 13 are solid at room temperature. |
Period 7Bonding
Examples: Actinium Oxide-Ac2O3 Uranium Dioxide-UO2 State of Matter All of the elements in Period 7 are solid, or presumably solid, at room temperature. |
